HOME ABOUT US OUR HARRIET TUBMAN TOUR DORCHESTER SEAFOOD & WINE TOUR

Welcome to Dorchester County! We are a family-owned and operated business based right here in Dorchester County on Maryland's Eastern Shore. We have offered packaged Dorchester County tours for more than 15 years to bus companies, travel organizations, senior centers, AARP chapters, church groups, and many other groups who are interested in learning about what Dorchester County has to offer!

Island Experience Tour

Enjoy a visit to an oyster aquaculture facility on Hoopers Island, a scrumptious buffet-style seafood meal, a guided bus tour and visit of the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, and a stop at a popular family-owned and operated produce market!

After meeting our step-on tour guide at the Dorchester County Visitor Center in Cambridge, Maryland, travel through lush pine forests and over the waterways of south Dorchester County, as our tour guide educates and entertains your group with the history of Dorchester County, and a discussion of the industries that support the local economy.

Arrive at Madhouse Oysters, an oyster aquaculture facility that represents one of the newest industries in Dorchester County. This facility produces farm-raised oysters that start as grain-sized baby spat. See how this facility grows these oysters to a full-size edible state on Hoopers Island.

An assortment of pie slices will be available for dessert. *Make it a crab, shrimp, and chicken feast instead for an additional $15 per person!

After lunch, it's time to head to Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. The Refuge consists of over 28,000 acres of land, which serves as a sanctuary for not only migratory bird species like Canada geese and snow geese, but also for whitetail and sika deer, the endangered Delmarva Fox Squirrel, turtles, brown pelicans, and much more! The refuge and surrounding area also boasts the highest concentration of bald eagles east of the Mississippi River and north of Florida. Enjoy a guided bus tour of the refuge, along with a tour of the refuge Visitor Center and gift shop.
